Welcome and thanks for visiting!

I am a PhD Candidate in Political Science at The Ohio State University specializing in International Relations and Political Theory.

My dissertation, Governing the Sick World: Health Governance and the Making of International Order, reconceptualizes global health as a central site for the international order. Through qualitative historical analysis of archival evidence from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, I trace how technical practices of health governance established institutional and normative continuities between Europe’s imperial order and the emerging liberal international order.

More broadly, my research investigates how the everyday operation of technical governance, including health, technology, and environmental governance, influences defining aspects of international order. My research is forthcoming in the Review of International Studies. You can learn more about my research here.

I am a passionate and accomplished political science educator with teaching experience in a wide variety of classroom contexts and course modalities. You can learn more about my teaching here.

Before I received a MA in Political Science from The Ohio State University in 2021 and a BA in Political Science and English (Writing) from Denison University in 2017.
